Seven year old Olivia has been given a job: to find her brother's beloved pacifier, lost somewhere between the park and her house.
But finding it is going to be harder than she anticipates, taking her on a journey that starts after her house almost burns down at dinner time to a neighbor who knows more than she lets on, a dog that also wants the binky, and finally, a bully who treats her like she's never been treated before. Now, she must choose whether to stay the course and navigate the emotional difficulties of the hunt, which are far more challenging than the physical ones, or give up on finding it, like everyone else in her family.
She'll have help in a new friend she encounters along the way who doesn't know any more than she does how to cope with the hurdles they'll come across, but seems to understand it's better to conquer them together.
